Granite countertop sealing?

Well I followed the instructions exactly and I made absolutely sure no sealer was left on my tiles and still I got a slight haze in a couple areas. It's not really noticeable so I'm not going to worry much about it. Also it seems like not much of the sealer got soaked up by the granite and as I was applying it there were only a couple dry spots. The grout soaked it up pretty good though. The granite is absolute black from Benissimo and yes I was told to seal by both the manufacturer and the company I purchased it from. Btw will the haze be a permanent resident of the tile or will it fade after a long while? I know there are methods of removing it but it doesn't seem bad enough to justify that. Also whats a good test to see if it actually sealed decently?
