Prepaid cellphone services?

I am considering using T-Mobile prepaid monthly service with fab 5. Have you ever used this service? and if so is it working out well for you, or is there another service (other than verizon, i hate them... too expensive) that you would recommend for prepaid.... no contracts!!!
